Pilots Training

After joining at BAF a Officer Cadets of GD(P) branches has to undergo 3 years of training that includes General Service Training, Academic training for Bsc(Hons) Aeronautics, BBA, Bsc(Hons) degree and flying training. A GD (P) Officer Cadets starts his pilot training from the Academy. In the Flying Training Wing all GD (P) Officer Cadetss undergo basic flying training on PT-6 basic training aircraft. On completion of the PT-6 they carry out 'Basic Jet and Fighter Training' on K-8W aircraft. Thereafter pilots are sent to different basic stream of aircraft like Fighter, Transport or Helicopter where they carry out training on different type of aircraft to achieve operational efficiency. At the Flying Instructors School, potential flying instructors are given 22 weeks training on flying.
